Athens, Al - Jason M. Theis of Hubert, NC won the American Fishing Tour North Carolina East division 15 tournament with 5 fish weighing 13.01 pounds held on Neuse/ Trent River on 12/13/2014.

Running out of Lawson Creek Landing near New Bern, NC, the Hubert, NC, angler caught 5 bass weighing 13.01 pounds. Jason took home a check for $236.00. Jason caught his fish on crank baits.

In second among the competitors, Stephen P. Albertson of Hubert, NC, caught 5 bass weighing 12.38 pounds. Stephen pocketed a check for $115.00.  

Taking third place, Antwan Moore of Kinston, NC, caught 5 bass weighing 8.14 pounds.

In fourth place, Gary Keim of Emerald Isle, NC, caught 4 bass weighing 7.24 pounds. Clifferd Chavez of Clayton, NC, rounded out the top five competitors with 3 bass weighing 4.22 pounds.

Next Event for the North Carolina East division 15 - will be held 3/21/2015 on Falls Lake near Raleigh, NC.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.

The American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All ABA anglers fish for money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the US are invited to the American Fishing Tour National Championship.
