Jason Theis wins Division 15 Two-Day Championship on Tar River

Theis of Hubert, NC won the American Fishing Tour North Carolina East
division 15 tournament with 10 fish weighing 19.98 pounds held on Tar
River on 08/29/2015. Running out of Tranters Creek near Washington, NC, the Hubert, NC,
angler caught 5 bass weighing 8.97 pounds on day 1. Day 2 he caught 5
bass weighing 11.01 pounds for a total of 10 bass for 19.98 pounds.
Jason took home a check for $490. He also had day 1, day 2 and overall
TWT for $60. Jason had the day 1 big bass (2.52#) and day 2 big bass
(4.90#) to win a check for $50. Jason caught his fish on worms, top
water, and spinner baits.
In second among the competitors, Lawrence Thomas, of Washington, NC,
caught 5 bass on day 1 weighing 8.45 pounds and 4 bass on day 2 for 5.68
pounds, for a total of 9 bass weighing 14.13 Pounds.
Taking third place, Matthew Oakley of Farmville, NC, caught a total of 6 bass weighing 7.64 pounds.
In fourth place, Monte Morgan of Ayden, NC, caught a total of 3 bass
weighing 3.35 pounds.
Chad Conwell of Hookerton, NC, rounded out the top
five competitors with a total of 2 bass weighing 2.23 pounds. Chad Also
becomes Division 15 AOY.
